Anne Ferguson

Camp Director Voice Teacher and Music Theory Teacher

Ms. Anne started Into the Woods MusiCamp three years ago with the intention of providing an opportunity for her voice students to have a safe space to showcase their talents that wasn't necessarily a stage. Also, to provide more training in voice, acting, music theory, and all different genres of music. She wanted to provide the fun of a sleep away camp as well, complete with camp fires and canoeing! Her staff is filled with musicians along with a Broadway Artist in Residence this year! Ms. Anne is the owner of Above & Beyond Vocals, LLC and has been teaching voice for over 35 years. She has a BA in Music (voice) from Chatham University as well as an MFA from Carnegie-Mellon University in vocal performance. She is so excited for the fourth summer of Into the Woods MusiCamp and some amazing additions not only to our staff but to the camp itself.

He was a founding member of The Kelp Crusaders when he was only 13 years old. Although he spent many years playing rock and roll, his expertise lies in jazz. He is a member of Massive Hawk and you can hear their music on Spotify. He has spent many summers as a camper and as a counselor and loves to snowboard and play Frisbee Golf. Don't be surprised if you see him teaching the kids on the 18-hole course here at camp! He is really looking forward to his fourth summer at Into the Woods MusiCamp!

Maddie Beer, RN

Camp Nurse/Counselor/Classical Voice

Maddie is a graduate of Chatham University.  She has her RN-BSN and returns as our Camp Nurse, as well as a counselor. She is employed as a nurse at Western Psychiatric Hospital in Oakland (Pittsburgh, PA). Maddie is a former classical voice student of Mrs. Ferguson's and continued her voice training while at Chatham. When Maddie was in high school she was in all the musicals as well as choir and Show Choir. She made it to States twice for PMEA and was chosen for All-East her senior year but COVID kept it from happening. Her senior voice recital as a student of Mrs. Ferguson's was comprised of songs in English, Italian, French, and also German. This will be Maddie's fourth summer at Into the Woods MusiCamp! We look forward to her being our Camp Nurse again as well.

Miss Lucie

Camp Mom and Camp Chef

Miss Lucie is so happy to be back as our "camp mom" and our wonderful Camp Chef! Miss Lucie is also the mom of Ellie and Misha but all of the campers are like her own. Lucie lives in Buxton, NC...better known as the Outer Banks of North Carolina.  She loves to spend time with her girls, her mom, and her husband, Matt...read, surf, meditate, do yoga, write poetry, and take long walks with her three dogs: Bailey, Willow, and Reo.  She works tirelessly behind the scenes of all of the musicals at CHSS High School, and is very involved in the community. We love having Miss Lucie with us and are so fortunate to have her back again this year.
